Dell Vostro 1500 Review

Vostro notebooks are built exclusively for small business and are ready to be customized with the features and software you want. The Vostro 1500 is a terrific balance of performance and portability, featuring extensive technology options, enhanced wireless connectivity, exceptional durability, and many features great for business users. The reasons why this laptop is a good choice are: tough construction, many configuration options, XP available pre-installed, good full size keyboard (also very sturdy and without flex), quiet(however kind of warm), Comprehensive manual, and last but not the last, fast support. The few things that may make you think twice are: the mediocre screen, the tinny speakers, the slow hard drive and the fact that this is a heavy laptop.

The design of this system is not just extremely solid and heavy, but it look professional and elegant in it’s simple black paint of the magnesium alloy body. However, the screen is not that solid because it’s easy to twist, and squeaks when twisted, plus that there is too much space between the LCD and the rest of the notebook when the lid is closed position. The buttons on the front are the media control buttons, which are mute, volume up, volume down, pause/play, skip backward, skip forward, and stop - very useful for any kind of media played on the machine. The speakers, like in any notebook, don’t have bass but, on dell notebooks especially, they do get very loud in case you need to sound up a big room. The large buttons placed below the touch pad are suitably sized and easy to use, also silent. This computer features a host of ports, though surprisingly it lacks a DVI-out port. If you choose the 9-cell extended battery when you order your Vostro 1500, you get a worst case scenario of 3 hours and 20 minutes.
